The Theory of Organization Development and Its Implication for the Innovation of School Organization

教育發展是社會變遷的反映,然而教育應有其本身的價值與目的。因此,欲促進教育的發展,須先認清社會變遷的本質和需要,然後擬訂適當的計畫,使教育「質」與「量」能平衡發展。學校是教育發展的重心,其革新的成效直接影響到教育的發展,所以必須積極培養學校主動適應社會變遷的能力(如解決問題和創造的能力),而不應再消極地接受法律和行政命令的約束;而教育的發展更須注重學校革新諸因素的整體配合此外,更要在教育的過程中避免過分機械化、標準化和非人性的產生,而使學校成為具有人文氣氛的環境,從而推動學校教育的整體革新。上述問題的產生,已漸成為學校組織研究的重要領域。為求學校教育的推展更為順利、成功、對學校組織特性的了解,以及對學校組織問題的解決,乃成為教育革新和教育研究當務之急。
英文摘要
School, as a complex social system and formal organization, is more important an institution for the educational development than before. So , innovation in school organization is getting inevitable to get this accomplishment. Recently, the theory of Organization Development which was offered useful reference schemes and research orientation in many fields, has been applied to the study of school organization. Therefore, the purpose of this study attempts to analyze the nature and content of O.D., its implications and limitation for the innovation of school organization.
This thesis is undertaken from the theoretical analysis and described in five chapters:In chapter one, the history, nature and content of the theory of O.D. are introduced. In chapter two, the traits and contents of school organization is discussed, then the orientation of its innovation in most developed countries is presented. The subsystems of school organizationpurpose, structure, person and techniqueare discussed under the theory of O.D. with the view of structurefunction
